SBR - Finally

After 11 months of waiting I finally received my SBR stamp from the ATF (I purchased with a trust). I am really thrilled with the rifle thus far. It is a 10.5" barrel chambered in 300 Blk. I am particularly proud that a good majority of the rifle's components were manufactured right here in my home state, Idaho. In fact, many of the parts I was able to just pick up at the manufacturer as they are within a few minutes drive from my house.

Specs are below:

Barrell - Odin works 300 Blk SS 10.5" (cerakoted black by MCM firearms)
Upper receiver - Odin works
Gas Block and gas tube - Odin works
Muzzle brake - Stingerworx emperor (ready for my direct thread Stingerworx suppressor - still waiting on paperwork - 8 months in so far).
BCG - Odinworks
Handguard - Odinworks
Forward grip - Seekins precision
Lower Receiver - Seekins Precision
Buttstock/Grip - Magpul
Trigger - milspec - tuned by me.
Flip up sights - Magpul
Red dot - Vortex Sparc II
Mag release - Odinworks

I am shooting 220 grain Leatherhead projectiles subsonic (also made within 30 mintutes of my house).

It's been a fun gun to shoot so far. Cannot complain.

they're not a match grade bullet of course, but more than respectable as a plinker load!

and if you buy in bulk (2000) they can be had for $0.12 each!

Agreed. They also make great pistol bullets. I use them in my 9mm USPSA gun.

Thank you. Coming from a non-AR guy I appreciate the comment.

as long as you flare the case mouths when seating so that you dont shave the coating off them and dont over crimp when removing the flare, they're suppressor safe. the coating is durable enough to prevent leading from happening in most instances.

i do not recommend using lil-gun for your propellant choice, ive expierenced this powder burning the coating off bullets when playing with cast, non gas checked, supers when trying to develop a light plinking load cheap - i was spraying lead out the end of my barrel. it was bad... i had to scrape the blast baffle on my magnetospeed it was so coated. thankfully i caught it quick and it was only a brief test string. i think it was gas cutting at the port, because the gas tube didnt lead up and no deposits on my bolt.

with typical sub powders (1680, shooters world, etc) it doesnt seem to be an issue though.

Nice build! Can't wait to build one myself. I'm not really big into the BO round but I think it is the obvious choice in the subsonic game... Only after shooting suppressed has my interest in this round increased. Should be [beeep] on pigs under Nightvision on a 100yd feeder!

What does over-crimping do to a suppressor?

I agree. This was completely a "because I can" build. No real use for it other than to have some quiet fun at the range.
