Scale repairs? GemPro 250

Well, my GemPro 250 scale is no longer reading correctly. I'm not sure if it got a bump in the noggin... In the middle of writing this I plugged it in and tried again, it's doing much better today.

Last week when I tried to calibrate it with the 20gram check weight it would read anywhere from 27g to 31g. Now it's only off by .020g.

I have a suspicion it has to do with the electric supply, I plug it into the wall and not use the batteries. I will leave it plugged in and powered on for a bit, that usually seems to cure any inconsistencies. Using the optional 4 AAA batteries usually is more reliable but if you don't take the batteries out when done it will suck them dry even powered off so all my AAAs are dead.

I tried to contact the Mywiegh company but have gotten no replies. Electrical issues are my shortcoming so any help would be great!

I leave my 250 turned on 24/7 along with my powder scale.... I have not had any issues.. Have you place the weight on first then zero then pick the weight up and see what the scale reads?

Yes I leave mine on often but my reloading area isn't dedicated to only reloading so there are times where I need to move it and unplug it.

Battery voltage quality (cheap battery) and mass weigh shift (moving scale to different location and not recalibrating) are common issues for scale readings changing or accuracy issues. Also some processor boards are sensitive to ac power fluctuations. Make sure the battery tabs are firmly contacting only the battery terminals and not touching the plastic wrap on battery. And check your outlet for voltage stability there maybe another load on the circuit that effects scale performance. Mike.
