Scariest Gun SHOW EVER!!!!

I know there are a lot of good folks with guns, and gun laws are evil yada yada. But there are a bunch of folks that I don't think need to be gun owners. I personally know 1 person who has "accidentally" shot 40% of his friends as each firearm he owns has a "bad safety". I won't stand in the same building with him and he buys new guns every year.

Same with voting. 1 idiot that thinks his dog tells him what to do cancels out 1 person who has a 200 iq and keeps up to date in the world. Then it comes down to what are there more of, geniuses or idiots. Next thing you know obama is president.

Just the other day we got a Henry .22 in and I was preparing it for display (trigger lock, DEMO notation on box, notation of Ser.#), and I found one live round in the firearm that was left there from the test firing in the factory. Guys behind the counter told me that this was not the first time that had happened.

Chupa

This is why a responsible FFL dealer checks the chamber before handing it to a customer. Thats pretty scary to think Chupa!

I've heard of two accounts of guns being loaded at shows. One north of here ended with a bullet striking two people last fall. How in the [beeep] a loaded gun gets by two people is beyond me. I'll never understand how the dealer wouldn't check them all and how the customer would assume the gun was unloaded and not do a chamber check. I even check when a friend hands me a gun.

like luke said number one thing is saftey...check the firearm at all times. I NEVER hand a gun to ANYONE without checking to make sure the gun is clear. It seems like pretty much on hear is under assumption that every vendor at shows is screwing people...but we actually have some of the best prices around...even in our store...but all boils down to being a "professional" if you will...not that we are professionals....but what i mean is that we are working a show trying to sell people guns...mainly helping inform people about guns and how they work, function...ect. Considering most buyers today are first time buyers...we have to set example to new buyers who probably have never seen how to properly handle a firearm ( i know that sounds scary but its the truth...people just dont know...) When a new gun buyer comes into a gun show and tries to buy a firearm and dang near gets shot i am sure that leaves a sour taste in their mouth about firearms from then on...gun shows should not be full of flea market garabge and idiots working there that dont know basic gun saftey practices...it makes us all look bad...

For every anti gun idiot out there there is a equal and opposite pro gun idiot.

If you didn't grow up around guns, and your friends that did don't take you out and teach you, and your to cheap to take gun safety classes on your own, your bound to do something stupid at some point.

And I do brother! Every firearm gets inspected before going on the rack and before I hand it to a prospective buyer........EVERY TIME! I have other protocol's as well when customers are handling firearms, but that is another topic.

Chupa

SO, Who loaded the pistol?

The vendor should have had them all unloaded before he left home for the show...and no vendor or show should not allow loading at the show grounds!!!!

These stories are precisely why I do not go to gun shows anymore. And why I avoid sporting good store gun sections while there are large groups of customers there.

I like my small time gun dealer, pretty much only attracts loyal and educated customers.
