Scat or Hairball

I'm new to predator hunting. I found this today. Is this coyote scat or would they cough up a hairball similar to a cat? It is fresh as it was not there yesterday.

Is it normal to contain that much hair? I guess I expected it to look more like a dog scat with some hair in it. This looks like totally hair.

It can be very hairy like that, they are eating a majority of their diet on animals with hair.

Given the apparent length of the hairs, I would make the assumption that, that particular coyote had venison for a recent meal.
The hair looks too long (and too large diameter) to me, to be rabbit.

Definitely crap... If you are ever unsure touch it to the tip of your tounge.. Should have an ammonia taste
