I bought one of these calls yesterday at Dibrells in Big Spring. Been wanting to order one for awhile. Randy W. I can see and hear why you like this call alot very nice call very very good sound. The Big tom in the photo gallery was taken using th AP-6 on the first stand of the evening.

I really like the AP-6.....I lost my last one and have another one ordered. One question, though...did either of you experience the reed getting stuck (with spit) to the top or bottom bite piece causing it sieze up? I'm thinking about getting an AP-7, too....but I just started to make decent sounds with my Tally-Ho. Oh well, I guess they're like fishing lures....never can have too many. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I appreciate it, guys.

Randy I also bought the AP-7 and the sounds I get from it are about the same as the critter call standard that I use but it is a good call also. The AP-6 is the closest thing to a closed reed call I have used in the last 4 years all are open reed because being able to very tone and volume is so much easier with open reeds.

Rusty with the litle experience that I have with the call I have not had it lock down yet, and I dip snuff also and this didn`t cause a problem either that seems to be the acid test for calls for me if they don`t lock down while dipping snuff then they get to stay in the box. Closed reeds will not pass that test.

Rusty, the 6 does hang up on occasion, but it;s usually after a lot of use. Turn it around and blow through the other end, that helps to clear out the hang up sometimes. Randy
