Scope For 22 Mag

You never stated your intended use for the rifle, so it is hard to recommend a scope.

The Marlin 25M that I had shot 1 1/2" at 100 yards with Win 40g Hp, great cat bullet since cats are hard to kill.

I have a 4-16 bushnell 4200x 40mm on mine, and have the target turrents marked to 200 yards.

I have the same scope on a Mauser 210 in 22 Mag. My partner and I "rimfired" a colony of p. dogs up in N. Wyoming once. He was shooting a Ruger 22 Mag and we tore their [beeep] up at 250 yards...they never had a clue that we were on the planet. We killed at least 300 in that little valley before we lost daylight.

Trade out the trigger spring with an ink pen spring and you will be in love with that rifle.

Ackleyman,

I'll be using it on jackrabbits, armadillos, coons, foxes, and bobcats on our annual predator hunting trip out to western edge of the Texas hill country. We've been three times in the last three years and haven't had a shot on a fox or a cat any further than seventy-five yards. At that range or less, I'm think the 22 mag should be adequate and I think the 2-7 scope should work fine. Thanks for the info though.
