Here goes! My son is putting together his first ar 15 in 6.5 Grendel. He'll use it mainly on coyotes, but use it on an antelope in the fall in Wyoming. He asked me for suggestions, but I'm not ar savy! Any advice guys? I know it is a broad question. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Swimmer, My son and I just got done over xmas break building (2) 6.5 grendels. I put a 4-20x50mm burris vercity and kolton put a 4.5-14x42mm burris E1 on his. Most of the ar's that I have are scoped with 4-14 or 4-16 scopes and have served us well shooting coyotes and even did well on shooting PD's. Might I ask what barrel your son used. I used an 18in odin and kolton used a 20in odin. And so far I have only put 5-10 rounds down mine. But kolton has put close to 50 down his shooting jack rabbits and rock squirrels. It makes a mess out of jacks with 100gr noslars.

Yup I agree with ^^^^
I have 7 of the Nikon 3.4-14x SF scopes, BUT all mildot reticle instead of BDC.
They are perfect for coyote & antelope here in WY.
Got all mine from midwayusa.

I sure like scopes with a circle around the crosshair for moving shots. The eye naturally centers the target...much like a peep-sight.
