Scope mount and Ring options

I just purchased a new Remington Model Seven Predator 22-250 and I am looking for the best scope mount/rings for my new gun. I am going to be mounting a Leupold VX-3 3.5-10x40 on top of her and I want to find the BEST Scope rings/mount possible for this gun. Does anyone have this similar setup and any opinions on what works best? One or two piece mount? low, med, or high rings? I am going to be mostly predator hunting with this gun/scope setup.

Thanks in advance guys!

I used a Weaver pic rail. I cut the last 1/4" off to clear the bolt handle. (back side). And used Burris XTR rings. I'm very happy with the results. Lows with the rail will likely work.

If you want to save a few ounces, go with Talley LWs. Lows or mediums here.

+1 For a great "budget" set up I go with the Weaver 20moa pic rail and same rings.

Thanks for the help so far guys! Money isn't really an issue and I want to make sure it's built right and it will be something I'm very happy with for years to come. I just want the best look and quality possible!

my go to mount is to use either Leupold or Burris bases with Burris Signature rings. An alternate if a weaver type base is used is Burris Signature Zee rings.

On the Burris Signature rings, the insert is offset to where you can get the scope close without using up the scope's adjustment range. They never ding a scope either

I have Warne mounts and rings on my Model 7 Predator in 223. Been on there over 3 years, and it has been carried a lot. Zero problems with them. I would highly recommend them.

I am leaning towards the Talley lightweight mounts. I have a set on my TC Pro Hunter FX and they have been rock solid! What height 1" mounts with the 40mm scope on the Remington Model 7 Predator? low or extra low? I want it to obviously be as low as i can get them with a comfortable distance between the scope and barrel. Thanks so much for all the help guys!

Good choice.

I'd go with lows and get some Leupy flip up lens covers. I have about 4 sets of them now and really like them.....

Holy crap me and some bud's drove up to Battle Creek to shoot a ASA tourney years ago,,Was looking forward to getting away from the heat and skeeters down here,we got away from the heat alright but dang the skeeters were impressive!!! They could stand flat footed and hammer a turkey I think!

Sorry about getting off topic lol Iron Brigade Armory if ya want tough as a boot but not as light and sexy as other bases and rings.
