Scope mount suggestions???

Awsome! Thanks

I have the RRA one piece scope mount riser rings and love it. It's kinda heavy but I like the way I can take it off and put it back on tight with a big screw driver. And I could in a pinch hand tighten it. It's got the big knurled knobs on the thing. If I put a "T" shirt over the screw heads I could get it pretty tight by hand. But I carry a big Craftman Screw Driver to snug it up good.

I mounted a Nikon M-223 BDC 600 Reticle scope on it 4x16x42 and can take the RRA mount and scope off the rail on my AR15 and put it back on again and still have good zero at 100 yards.

The scope and the RRA mount add about two pounds to my AR15. I guess the RRA mount is made out of steel or very heavy aluminum or something. I'm not really sure what it's made out of. I should find out though. I found out that it's made out of aluminum. Thanks to the guys below that posted the Mount Comparison link. And I found out that I got the newer RRA version that's canted forward.

I just read that if you use a 30 mm scope tube you have a lot more room to adjust the scope's optics inside than with the 1" scope tubes. The larger tube allows for more movement of the internal lens mechanisms inside the larger tube. So I guess you could adjust the MOA of the scope more with the larger tube type scopes?

I ordered the Burris P.E.P.R the other day. I received 89.00 bucks worth the points on my signature black card when I used it to purchase my P415 from Cabelas a few weeks ago. It ran me $11 out of pocket for tax n shipping.

As far as cantilever mounts are concerned, the centerline height of the Armalite mount is 1.25" I believe it is one of the, if not the lowest cantilever mount you can get. Most cantilever mounts are in the 1.4-1.7" range and are more appropriate for most shooters. If you have small facial structure and require a lower mount then the Armalite may be a good choice for you.
