Im mounting a vx-3. 8.5x25x50 on a Remington sendero 7mm rum I like the tally lightweight one peice ring. But the don't offer them with a 20 moa option. I want to eventual shoot a thousand yards with this gun that's the reason I thought I would go with a 20 moa mount. Now your thoughts will I need 20 moa mounts with that setup to reach a thousand yards? And I found a company called pierce engineering that makes the same mount as talley lightweight ones but with the 20 moa but they want $ 155. For there's does anyone know much about that company and are they worth that if I do need them. I know I could go with a rail system from a number of different places I just want to try something new.

Out that far, the 20 MOA may help. But, with a decent scope that has good amount of travel, you'll rarely run out of "up". Your VX-3 has 94 MOA of adjustment. At 1K thats 940" or ~78 feet! The 20 MOA isnt going to be needed. Your rifle only has about 20 MOA of drop at 1000 yards. (200 yd zero)
Now with that said, I would still go with a rail. Extended rail at that. It gives you a lot of freedom when mounting the scope. Eye relief and alignment, tuned for YOU, is much easier to get with a pic rail.
And EGW rail and TPS rings are a good combo. I also like the Weaver tac 6-hole rings.

Yes, but with a flat base you'll only get to use approximately half of those 94 MOA. A 20 MOA base will keep you closer to the center of your adjustment range.
I'd get a rail and a set of rings too.

Others have said it, but I'll reiterate:
The VX-3 LRT has 94MOA of total internal adjustment, 47MOA up, 47MOA down from optical center. A 7 RUM should drop about 25MOA of TOTAL drop (not drop below zero) at 1000yrds, so you'll only be about halfway down the adjustment, even with a flat base.
I have a Leup VX-3 LRT 6.5-20x50mm on a 6.5-284 (not nearly as fast as your 7mm rum, and similar BC's in the 0.5+ ballpark) and I didn't have an angled base on it at first. I ran out of adjustment at about 1250yrds, so I did end up adding an angled base to get me out past 1500-1800yrds (punching paper, only 1100-1200yrds on coyotes and pdogs so far).
I'm a bit OCD about certain details, and I REALLY like having my scopes optically centered, or as close to it as possible, at my average anticipated range, so I can understand if you DO want to add an angled base, but for what it's worth, you don't need it.
