Scope rings

Hello, I’m getting ready to set up a new rifle and have run into a small issue.
I’m putting a 3-18x44mm scope with a 30mm tube on an ar15, what height rings should I order while trying to stay as low to the bore as possible? I would like quality light rings. Any help would be greatly appreciated.I just hate sending things back.

Just my opinion but as close to the bore as possible is going to give a lousy cheek weld on the stock. I don't shoot AR's anymore but when I did, I liked the scope pretty high.

To me, repeatability and return to zero is utmost over a couple ounces here and there, if you plan on a dual purpose rig for day & night.

Get a quality cantilever scope mount designed for the AR-style rifle. Set the scope in that with the back of the scope even with the charging handle.

I was going to recommend the Larue Tactical LT104, as I have these on both of my hunting ARs and love them. When I went to the website to link it I noticed they have a new version, the LT204. Looks nice but they more doubled the price!! At $399 I can no longer recommend the Larue. I'd go with the Aero now.
