I have seen scopes with shades but can't find one (shade)??? Can anyone direct me to a good one or tell me how to build one?? I have a 6-24 x 40 Bushnell Banner (All I can afford)

Thanks for the help!

Usually, they are specific to the model of scope. Check Bushnell to see if they offer one for your model.

The other option is to put a set of calipers on your scope and measure the inside diameter where the scope shade would screw in, then find a scope shade from another manufacturer that would fit it.

RickeyB,
I have biult my own scope shades for the scopes that they do not offer them for...I had a post in "other calling equip" I'll see if I can find it and bump it for you...
I can't figure out how to put the link on here (not very good with computers)but the post is three pages back in "other calling equiptment and critter getting tech"...it is called "sunshades in 1 hr."

if anyone can help me post a link I would appreciate it greatly.
Hope this helps.

While my scope came with a shade, I went to Lock stock & barrel online, and ordered one of those honeycomb diffuser's that sniper's use. It fit's inside your butler creek scope cap, and it serves two purposes: Since I have a 50mm objective, It will kill most of the glare that comes off the glass. The manufacturer claims it will also reduce sun glare to the same effect as having a 9" sunshade on the scope...all without obstructing view/visibility....ie- ya won't get that "tunnel vision" effect, like you do from a sunshade. It's called the Sunguard Anti reflective device.

Thanks Littletoes, It worked and I found a bottle that was the perfect size without the buttlercreek add-on and it's snug but can be removed.......
Thanks again...

I could not find a pill bottle the right size so i went to the spice cabinet.....walla. after i got the season salt outa the bottle it was all down hill. did not have any flat black paint on hand so i went with what any redneck would use....camo ducktape! i love it it actually looks purty darn good!!

thanks for the good info
