Sears-Ted Williams question

Im trying to get the barrel off of a 20 ga model 21. I assumed it slid of like an 870 but I cant get it to budge. Surely it doesnt screw off? any ideas? I need to get to the bolt or carrier or whatever holds the firing pin. thanks

My dad had one of these, matter of fact he still does. I shot it a lot as a kid. Therefore I had to clean it too!

I remember that the action had to be open for the barrel to come off (it has been over 20 years since I last laid hands on the thing so I could be wrong). If thats not it, I don't know.

can't find a model 21 in gun parts cross reference, but some TW shotguns were made by ithaca, they screw off.

Looks like the 21 was a screw in barrel. The one my dad has had a removable barrel like the remington 870. So it must not have been a model 21.
