Secret Bait Recipe

My property here in NC has started to become quite infested with pigs. Problem is they run a very large creek bottom which winds through many properties and since mine is only 95 acres they show up for awhile then leave for awhile then show back up. What is some proven corn additives that you guys use to help bring them in and keep them around?

There are numerous recipes floating around. I have used the Pig Out mixed with corn. Hog Cheese is good mixed with corn if you can mix it without puking.

Easy to get a container of raspberry or cherry Kool Aid, a few packs of yeast and mix it up in a 5 gal bucket. Let if ferment for a while. If you want to make it more fun buy a six pack of beer....drink five and mix # 6 in with the other stuff.

Put out a feeder and program it dispense a good amount of corn. Once they find it they will usually come back but it seems they always show for a few days then skip a few and then back again. Usually the sows with little pigs like to hit the feeder.

I have 3 of these feeders and they seem to be a good value. I am still running the first one I bought even after a black bear knocked it down a few years ago. Get a solar panel for it and the battery will last a long time.

Yea I am using Pigout with corn now. I have tried the Boarmaster's Nitro with good result but it is expensive. Just bought a new set of posthole diggers to get the feed in the ground and make them work for it. Yea back in september I had a sow with 13 babies on camera quite a bit. My dad's dog deer club shot on a bunch yesterday but didn't kill any.

I used to do the post hole digger thing and then I used pig pipes. I decided it's easier to just throw corn in the feeder and let it do the work right on time every day and you won't have to drag them out of the big hole they dug getting to the corn.

Pig pipes work well for us in combination with feeders. The feeders are set to feed a couple pounds daily and will keep pigs checking in, but the corn is cleaned up quickly and they leave. On the days when we plan to hunt at night the pig pipes are filled under the feeders and will hold pigs in the area for a much longer time. Our cameras show that sounders may stay on a pipe as long as 5hours, giving us a much broader window to check several pipes and stalk. I am only off every other weekend so this allows us to keep pigs around between hunts.
