Seeking a .17 Rem. Fireball AR-15

If anyone knows where I can get one or who would build a good one, please drop me an email. Also, who makes barrels in .17 Rem. Fireball or complete uppers, etc. paghuff@gmail.com
 
Have heard about some being made, but with lots of 'mods' to get every thing to work. I would like one, too, but all the research I have done keeps pointing me to a 17-223... You can always ride a fast horse slow.

A .17/223 or the standard .17 Remington does make more sense when using a AR-15 platform.

Plenty of AR uppers in one of those calibers around. Never seen or heard of one in .17 FB.
 
Love the Fireball. After exhaustive research on an AR based on the FB case, I decided not to re-invent the wheel. I went with the .17-.223

I think that was wise. .223 brass is very plentiful and will work in any standard AR-15 magazine just fine. The .17/223 is 95% as powerful as the standard .Remington is too.

I have been a .17 Remington owner and lover since 1979 but I think that if I wanted a .17 upper for my AR-15 then it would be a .17/223.
 
It has a custom profiled BHW barrel and it shoots very well. I went with a 1-9" twist but they accidentally made a 1-10".
 
I made a couple of AR uppers in 17 Mach IV back around 2001. They fed and functioned just fine, as did the Mini-14 I converted to 17 Mach IV about the same time. I also made one in 17 Tactical.

Cody of Cody custom guns has one and works really well. I am sure you could look up his web Site and give him a call and get one made.
 
Called Cody Custom guns and got a message they would not be available until October on their voice mail? Weird. Sent an email too and hope to hear back. Thank you for info r15 reeper. I hope they can make one or more for me.
 
Cody is a good guy. He is always busy with a day job, plus building guns. Not sure when he was on here last, but he does check in once in a while.
