Selling a firearm at an auction

I had a "safe queen", a nice antique win 94 short rifle, with a letter that I had for over 30 years that I had lost interest in.
I contacted James Julia auction house, sent pictures, and talked to a couple people there. They were very professional, gave me an expected range, and walked me thru the process. I put it in last Aprils auction, and it sold for over the low estimate. They sent me the check promptly, everything was smooth. If anyone out there is thinking of selling something I would say consider them, my experience was very satisfactory.

Its a sliding rate, the more valuable the gun the lower the rate.Mine was 7% based on a $6k to $10K estimate. It brought $6500. As the value of the item goes up they make it up on the buyers premium.
