Not to hijack the thread, but yeah you can hire me if you want but you could also write it up to even a blind squirrel finds a nut.... It was really one of those deals where I saw a guy selling the barrel and the trigger and I said hey what would you take for both and he cut me a hell of a deal. Then to top it off, he emailed me to say it was in the mail and by the way he was also sending me the matched bolt....who was I to complain?
Of course, I haven't installed the barrel on an upper yet so maybe in in two weeks I will be posting about how some $#@*^#@@ sold me a barrel with a mis-cut chamber. We shall see.
When it all comes down to it, its a matter of watching for sale ads (which I don't do a good enough job at) and either jumping at the deal or making a polite counter offers. I'm not saying to low ball folks as I hate it when people offer me half the price I am asking, but, for exampe, I asked what kind of deal can you cut me if I take items x and y? In doing so I let him set the price and saved alot of cash.
Of course that is at the risk you are getting screwed, when buying private sales you pay your money and place your bets......
