Shipping Question?

I was shipping a barreled action to get some work done a few years back. The name of the shop on the addy, got the counter lady asking ?'s. She asked if it was a gun and I told most of one. Can't ship she said. The PostMaster was on had and he came out and told me NO. I politely told him he was wrong , so he made a phone call and still said NO !
Again I told him he was wrong , So he made another call and then another. Finaly he said SHIP IT ! I thanked him and he did the same .

Problem is handguns vs. long guns rules.

When you get an anti-gun counter person troubles multiply.

Those packages I do see damaged in transit are ALWAYS because the sender did not take the time to properly secure the contents.

Yup... Dad recently received a Post Card... Third rate advertisement type circular mail no less... in a nice little sealed up damaged mail envelope... because it had a tear in it.

Not me.

I have a small country PO and a postmaster that's as sharp as they come.
I shipped an AR-15 lower last week.

I wish their insurance wasn't so expensive though.

I have a small country post office with a postmaster that has a bad attitude most of the time. Love the USPS, just need to know what form to file to ship the postmaster away Dog. She likes to think I am retired and don't have anything better to do than run down and stick my head in my P.O. Box on a daily basis!
