I went in and created my categories.txt file
like this

Vocals
001
002
003
...and so on

but after dowloading to the remote i still get no categories showing? i did set the remote to show categories instead of sound list and still nothing.

I also have 20 sounds that look like this
._130 siren
._131 cals fed siren
the same 20 sounds are on the remote and work shows me as having 165sounds and i only have 145? everything looks good on the computer i dont see the sounds with the dot line in front of them.

Start the first sound at 000 and no spaces in the numbers between sounds!

And youi cannot have any gaps in your sounds numbers, my files are 000-420 and no duplicate numbers or as i said, no empty spaces........

just went through re numbered all of them everything looks great on the computer deleted some sounds that i will never use. I have 133 sounds on the computer. when i download my list it shows 152! still have some of the calls on the remote that look like this ._130 cottentail yet i have 130 cottentail also and it works

ok figured out the problem.. hooked it to my moms mac asnd it showed my categories.txt file as categories.txt.txt so fixed that now i have categories but all the sounds are wrong in the categories w t f

You need to edit your categories in the Foxpro programmer. After you have the sounds you want on the caller, click "Update caller". When it gets through, you click on "Edit categories", and you can drag and drop the individual sounds into the category title you want, create new categories to drop into. When you are through, click on "Save/done", and then sync to your remote and you are good to go.

i got her all figured out i still have 19 sounds on my sound list that read like this

._coyote group

so in my categories instead of 000 threw 045 for coyote vocals it went 019 threw 064 and the sounds in the categories are correct.

Having that ._ directly in front of coyote group could affect its placement within the group. You may need to right click on those particular sounds and get rid of that prefix. If I'm following you right, you have 19 sounds with that prefix. IMO, that should not be.
