Shockwave Charger Options

Well I took the plunge and bought a Shockwave. In addition I bought the Rechargeable Lithium Battery Pack to go with it. I see there is a charger port on the call. Is there a charger that plugs into the call for the Rechargeable Lithium Battery Pack? I do not see one on the Fox Pro website. I also bought the Foxjack 3 Decoy and with my fat fingers I see in time I will break the wires taking it off to charge. It is a bit of a hassle as the wire is not long enough to lay the decoy down on a table or ground. It comes unplugged or will just hang while putting the battery back in. Thank you!!

I would call foxpro. I would think they have adapters that go from the phoenix type connector on the lithium pack charger to the pin type connector on the call. That would eliminate removing the lithium pack all the time for charging.

I have the Lithium Battery Pack. You get double the run time with them. I have tried all other combinations with batteries and nothing will give the run time that the rechargeable Lithium battery pack will give you.

With that being said you can't charge them internally. You can only do that with the free float batteries that are NIMH. I have the FoxJack on my SHocKWaVe. If you pull on that wire a little you will find it comes out of the caller far enough to get the job done.

Thank you for the replies and help!

Yoda I read a lot of your reviews on the SW and I thank you and others that put their reviews up. Definitely helped me in the decision making process. Another big question I have is what volume setting are you guys using? I am calling mostly in big field areas (North Dakota.)

I like to do 30-40 minute stands with about 25-30 minutes of calling. I start as soon as I get set up to help with the scent cone. I like to sit at the end of a stand and wait for sneakers. I usually sit 7-10 minutes after the last sound is made.

For volume I like to start low and work my way up and back down again. Low volume for the first 5-10 minutes maybe on 15or20. Then I like to let it rip for a few minutes (35-40)and work my way back down until time to go. Some let the caller run the entire time and some cut it on and off. I mix it all up and try not to get into any habits (except the ones that work time and time again). Try it all and see what works for you and your area.

When using coyote vocals I always use a loud volume setting.
