Shockwave FoxCast Question

Has anybody mastered the input of Sequences into your Foxcast on the Shockwave?

FoxPro is closed today, i will start by saying that i deleted all 100 sounds and 5 sequences that came with it. I have my own library of 500+ sounds and some of the 100 would have been duplicates so they were wiped off of the caller.

I know about the program utilty that makes sequence setup easy and i have quite a few stored on my desktop and in my Shockwave sounds folder.

I just cannot get them too load into the Foxcast remote.

Any help would be great!

Thank you!

Dont feel bad. I just downloaded 40 more sounds and now my catagory list is all screwed up. The sounds went where they pleased. Now I have to figure how to get them all back into the correct catogories.
I put in 3 new sequences and they loaded perfectly.

The easiest way to do files for FoxCast is to simply write them yourself per the user manual. Just make sure you save them as a text file with the .seq file extension. If you use Windows Notepad, when you save the file make sure you save as "all files" so you don't end up with a file name like foxcastfile.seq.txt.

If you prefer, you can go to the FoxPro Website and use their online authoring tool. I found it easier to do it in Notepad because of the numerous changes I ended up making.

As far as getting the sounds from the caller to the remote, download as usual, but make sure the file name has the correct extension (.seq) or it's a no go and it won't show up.

Had the same problem. Hard to explain. Each sound has its own number and specific spot.

1. Save your sounds, renumber them manually into a new backup file name. make sure that each sound has its own number.

2. Wipe your caller. make any changes to your categories names or location of name in category on remote etc. upload to shockwave and remote.

3. Load your sounds on caller then upload to remote.

4. Then go back and move the sounds into the categories and upload to remote. try 40 or so at a time.

If i didn't do it this way all of my sounds went into the wrong category. Also had problems when i left a category blank.

Also if adding sounds always better to add to the end of the sound list.

good luck...
