Shockwave Redesign?

hammer0419,

That was a concept idea before we went with the current design. You won't be seeing that one. It's close to the current design, but we decided on some changes.

Ok. Just curious when I came across it. Do the speakers secure like in the picture I posted? I know a few people mentioned the speakers being loose???

The speakers are not loose at all. We set the Shockwave on a tripod and set the speakers similar to that all the time. In fact, the Shockwave is made really well.

Hammer0419,

The speakers should not be loose. There is a special design utilized in the construction to keep them tight. If they're loose, the screws on the hinge can be tightened.

Sounds good. I do think you should have produced that little tripod in the picture. Think it would be a big seller.

Mine have come loose from time - time!

I just tighten them down with a Philips screwdriver once in a while.....

I have never had any problem with the speakers coming loose on mine and it has been used a lot this past year. I like the SHOckwAVe and the TX1000 remote.

We know!

I don't think a person would want to use Loctite, the screw is above the hinges on the door and it might hinder the use of opening and closing the speakers.

PS - I open at least one speaker on every stand and that may be the reason they work loose, not loose enough to fall out but loose enough to make the speaker open easy and when setting the call on a bush or fence post I like the speakers a little snug.
