Shooting benches

LOL.. No the hose is there for my camper. Was shooting from my ranch house before going into my PD town for a week and thought I should take extra water.

Folding banquet table from costco. $38 bucks. May not be as sturdy as some of the heavier tables but works great for me.

204Dude is right about this one. I have shot off his table several times. It might not look quite as cool as my homemade one, and yes, it might have a bit of flex in it, but I doubt that any ground squirrels or prairie dogs were missed because of it. Seems to be pretty sturdy as well. I might camo it if it was mine, but that just me.

Skippy: Those BR Pivots are just the STUFF! Wish I was rich instead of just good lookin'!

We use benches we made similar to Claimbuster's and Outlawkyote's but ours are somewhere in between. They use 1 1/4" pipe legs. (I'll probably have to build something lighter when I get old and decrepid!

Huntsman22 and Claimbuster....How did you set the angle on the legs? what fittings were used? I am especially interested in the conduit legs.

Thanks

Mine is an angle iron triangle, with fittings welded in each corner. I copied the Stukey bench leg system. A lot stronger and more stable than pipe flanges or plate mounted nipples. There is a 'floating' nut in the top of the sleeve. A bolt is welded on the top of the leg, that screws into the float nut. A collar is welded to the leg, as a 'stop' when snug. Hope the pics make sense.....

Made these out of 2x10 yellow pine doweled together. Bought the legs from a wood working supply for $50. I threw away the little plastic caps that went on the bottom of the legs so they would sink in the ground to help level and stabilize the table. Took me about 8 hours to make 6 of these. Then I took the legs of old levi's filled them with playsand and zip tied the ends

Here's a buddy of min with my table, I used a 4x8 sheet of plywood cut in half.. made 2 circles one full size & one approx4-6" smaller in diameter held together with a boat pedestal swivel available at Wally word. Add retractaable legs, Cut out hand slots, put legs on it & there ya go...
Top handles 2 shooters with gear & rotates.

What are your dimentions for your table? I like the Idea of the folding legs and I was thinking of a couple of plastic lawnmower wheels on the wide end to roll it on when folded up so I dont have to carry it

Chopper, the tables are 48"x 32". I made them to be used either right or lefty. They do weigh about 45# a piece so wheels would be nice. I carry mine on my shooting trailer and just drop the guys off with plenty of water, ammo and a two way radio.

Uh where did you get that idea? I am a life long resident and have never heard that... Lived here for 62 years..

Here are three I just made. Used buffet table legs and 3/4 melamine sheets. It is doubled up on the front to offset the legs for folding flat. Only cut out one side since both my boys and I shoot right handed. I have since added 1/8" x 1" angle iron to the edges to make a lip to keep stuff from rolling off.
