Shooting Sticks or Mono stick

I made a set of sticks out of two old golf clubs. bolted together painted tan, they work petty good the rubber handles stick the gun in a way so no slipping. ends stay in the ground good too. they are a little short so I made another set out of some old carbon arrows I had. lashed them together with a knot( that I don't know how to spell). left the field tips in. haven't used these yet but they are really light.

Yep.

I prefer the old stoney point rapid pivot, myself, but there are plenty of good choices. Once you use something enough, you learn how to make it work. I'm sure somebody on here prefers a monopod, but it isn't me.

I made a couple sets of the fiberglass shooting sticks about a decade ago and they are still in service. Both 3/8" & 1/2"
Being solid gives me the feeling of less sound problems if they bump something.
I wonder if anyone using hollow tubing fills them with foam to help the acoustics when bumping things.

Have been using the promos pole cat bipod. I have found that it can be cumbersome and doesn't adjust quickly. I am going to try a promos Monopods trigger stick next.
