Mine is nothing special, but it works. It's nothing more than a piece of plywood with fold-up legs attached. I've taken groundhogs close to 400 yards shooting off this one, so it works for me. The best part is it's cheap. We used it for shooting some prairie dogs too.
Here is another one I purchased last summer but have yet to use. I think this one will work well for closer ranges.
I don't use a table. I use a surveying tripod with the top part of an RCBS RASS attached. It works great.
I've hunted with the RASS as well but it's pretty clumsy to carry on a 4 wheeler/ATV.
I also use a small camo folding chair and bi-pod shooting sticks. It's light enough that I can hike quite a long ways carrying it. The chair has a cargo pouch built in to hold my field dressing kit (when deer hunting) and other tidbits like range finder, set of brush clippers, extra ammo, etc.
here is my homemade shooting table i made last night . for around $ 21.00 , walker $5.00 , school table for the top $ 9.00 bolts and plastic wing nuts $ 4.00 . Whats nice is the walker has adjustable legs and folds down very flat . the rubber handles on the walker make the top sit very stable and tight . When you tighten the wing nuts it compresses the rubber . Next will add either rubber or outdoor carped to top . plus all you have to do to make it left handed is flip the top over . I need to make one for my son , as he took one look and my and said , very very cool !! I tried it this morning in the hills behind my hone and it worked great , very very light too and i was surprised how stable it was for being so light . Plus having each leg adjust independently makes it great for leveling .
I have also seen a good video using slightly different components:
I think I'm going to try this one out sometime soon, though I'm not sure I like how it attaches to the tabletop (it seems like a wider attachment would be more sturdy.
Here is one I made several years ago, and yes, that is just an old ironing board!!! Height is easily adjusted and your body weight is what stabilizes the table. Works really well, Is light weight and very portable.
Here is a pic of my homemade rifle rest I use on my ironing board table. Added the front offset for use with the AR's.

That will work Rob!
It is a old projector table that will raise from about 3 feet to about 6 feet, I just cut out a table top, glued some speaker carpet on it and bolted it to the projector top, pretty easy and quick.. it looks like it would be a little wobbly but it is actualy pretty stable even with the tail end, but the gun is put in front of the back legs, so it dont move at all.. and best of all its compact, Light and dont take up much room in the truck bed.
Made mine using buffet table legs and 3/4" laminated particle board. Added 1"x1"x1/8" angle iron all around to keep stuff from rolling off. Need to paint them since the black trim gets pretty hot.
Also need to find some good stools or taller chairs for my sons to use. They end up standing a lot.
The ones in the video I posted are "rugged buddy" sawhorse legs.
Google "folding table legs" and should get a lot of choices. http://www.tablelegsonline.com/shop/
one choice googled the above...
might find them at home depot, lowes...
