SHOOTING TIMES mag tests new REDFIELD scope

I loved the widefield scope's in fact still have a 2 3/4x Widefield. Seemed to me that it removed distractions from the top and bottom. What I likred even better and would give up the widefield for was the 4 plex cross wire. Nobody has that anymore. There were three different graduations in wire thickness from the center to the edge.

In other words any two Leupold/Redfield scopes could have glass from two completely different parts of the world.

I read about this same thing about 10 yrs ago. Leupold actually stated that they do shop around different country's for their glass...reason being; no high quality glass makers in the USA.
