Short Barrel 22-250?

The rifle was built and the barrel chambered by Greg Tannel. But I had Cody Farr chop it and thread it and would go back to him again. But, I just searched for his website so I could give you the link, but can't find it anymore. So not sure he's still in business?

Anyone else know if Cody is still doing rifle work?

Thanks Dave, I also couldn’t find a running website but I think I found a phone number attached to a company “Cody’s custom guns” Was he out of Westpoint, UT?

On some of my recent builds, I've intentionally used un-fluted barrels so if I were to get a wild hair and want to, drastically, shorten them up, I could.
The majority of my builds have fluted barrels so I'm much more limited on how much I can have lopped off if I wanted to go shorter with them.
Something to keep in mind when you order/spec a new barrel.
I realize this is an older thread, but......

I just had two barrels cut, crowned, & threaded at 18", and both were fluted prior, one with deep straight flutes, the other was spiral fluted.

I had put off getting them done, as I thought they would look like shit.......as usual, I was wrong....:)

I think they look just fine, in fact, maybe better than stopping the flutes an inch or so back, as the flutes butt up to the can.

Yup, that's the guy!

If you get ahold of him, let me know if he's still doing full rifle work. I have a barrel blank needs fit and chambered and was thinking of talking to him about it.
