When I finish a couple of my latest gun projects a 19 caliber might be next purchase. I've always been fascinated by that one and I would think it would make a great Coyote round.

Yea, it is an older McMillan. They don't make that one anymore. I read somewhere that they had problems with the stocks, so they stopped making them. Too bad, because I really like it.

As to reliability, I can't see a problem with it. It's a great looking stock. The rifle shoots little groups, so the stock can't be all that bad.

Would this count? Has about 40+ beaver and counting to it's credit and a dozen ground hogs. Have done several stocks this way with the Kyrlon and matt clear finish.

I think it helps but couldn't swear to it..That paint job is over 2 years old now and has held up well for a truck gun that gets used a lot..Had a bad beaver problem with a trailer court within 200 yds so it got plenty of use...CB long and a head shot works ever time...I gave the paint job a good test because I got a molded stock with the barrel and painted it up the same way and threw it in the back of my truck and road it around for about 3 months..It didn't come out perfect but it was still in pretty good shape..Had a few places knocked out of it, but no problem to patch back up..hit the spot with a base coat, grab a pine branch, and hit it with color of choice...That said I'm thinking about getting and air brush and going with duracoat...got a lot of people wanting me to do their rifles...Here's another I did a couple of weeks ago, but it's about to get a new stock to go with it's new barrel....243 AI now.

DoubleCK,

I used the matte clear coat on my shooting bipod. I let the paint dry well, about two weeks, then but the matte on it and it is more durable than without the clear coat. It will still scratch, but is much more durable. Using the matte will definitely help.

Savage 116 LH originally in .223 but I rebuilt to .243 with a .308 switch barrel. Not camoed but sprayed in rough texture tan.
