Sig thermal

My hunting partner has one, for entry level thermal it is better than the ATN. IT doesn't compare to the more expensive, tried and true brands in my opinion though.
Pro: Price, Eye relief, ease of use, good heat detection out to 400-500 yards.
Cons: Hard to identify your target past 50-60 yards.
Doesn't make a rifle look good. (petty on my part)

Gadget.....Don’t waste your money. You get what you pay for x2 with NV and thermal. Just guessing from you being in South Dakota you probably need a unit with some magnification for longer ranges. IMO the FLIR PTS536 is the best bang for your buck.

Thx If you are planning to hunt coyotes in ND, I would strongly suggest a thermal scope and monocular with more range. I hunt ND coyotes with thermal a lot. You would be much better served with a thermal such as a Pulsar Trail XQ50 or a Flir PTS536. This would be the minimums I would typically recommend. On top of this, I would highly recommend a good thermal scanner as when you hunt open areas, you need to be able to see almost 360 degrees and probably at least 1 mile. An example of a good wide FOV scanner would be a Pulsar Helion XP38. If you have any further questions or need advice thermal hunting ND, feel free to PM me.

What you don't want to do is use poor quality thermal and end up having a hunting accident. ND is too wide open and bullets travel too far.
