Sightmark Photon - Which Magnification?

Yeah I am thinking of waiting on the RT. Better sensor, on board video recorder, wifi, and I think the IR is better. With all those upgrades it might be worth the extra dough.

Well, the verdict is still out on the RT, but it sure does sound good. Hopefully we will be hearing and seeing some reviews soon.

Tuff, here is the video I promised of the hog hunt back in April. The distance was 87 yards from the blind to feeder and I used the Photon 6.5x scope. You can see the field of view to give you an idea.

TD, We can't use lights (IR or other) for scanning, but can use them "at the point of kill", meaning that we can turn them on to identify and shoot the animal. So we can't scan with them (yet, it passed at our spring meetings, just waiting on legislation to be passed), but we can use them to identify and shoot. Goofy regs.

6mm - Thanks for posting that. Shows how clear that scope is. Thanks also for posting which illuminator you were using as well. Because I'll be using it while calling, I'm thinking the 4.6 would be better for FOV. Tempted to wait for the RT's to come out, but they look like they may be a bit more expensive (have to keep it within budget to keep the better half happy lol).

Just saw you had the RT in your post here. I'll keep an eye out for it to come available. I'm thinking for that price, why not. Worth a little extra for the upgrades. But dang it's hard to wait.
