Silver-Red Fox....Better Pictures Added

Here is a fox my Father trapped a few weeks ago in Wyoming. Pretty neat colour phase...

I added some new pictures from the digital camera, the first picture was from an older cell phone.

The fox is at the taxidermist now.

How did he trap it?

These are often called silver foxes. But they are really red foxes. Just a black color phased red fox. Really cool looking.


Not to hijack, but here is one I shot a few weeks ago. Doesnt get any prettier.

Yes. My son seen a black phase red fox yesterday. We live in Indiana. He didn't know what it was so I showed him these pictures and he said, "Yep that is exactly what I seen."

He only had a 38 revolver with him and it was about 50 to 75 yards away. It must have known because he said it didn't seem that worried about him but it did trot and walk away but it kept stopping and looking back at him. Wish he had a rifle or even a camera.
