I have 2 of the 6.5-20x44 mags. The first one is an older one(made in the Phillipines I think), its on my Remington 22-250 VS. This was my first full fledged varmint rig, and I didn't have alot of money at the time. The optics are pretty clear, and it tracks well.
The other one is a newer model I bought from Natchez to put on the Rem LVSF 22-250. I'm not sure where this one is made but it's not quite as clear to the edges as the first one. It track well. Both scopes have a Truplex reticle which is OK. They are not a Leupold, Bushnell Elite 4200, Nikon, or Sightron, but on a limited budget work fine.
The first Gun with the 44 mag was in my Plano Air Glide Case and in the back of my pick-up truck on the fender well, I hit a deep rut in the road to the groundhog field and the gun fell out. I just knew the gun had lost its zero, I put a target up at 100 yards on a bale of hay and much to my amazement, the zero was perfect!!! SO I guess I like the guncase as well as the scope!
I also have a 2 Leupolds, and a Lyman scope. Just saying this so you know I have something to compare them to. For the $$$ spent on the 44Mag. I think they're pretty good. I don't know about some of the other models...Blazer etc.. I did put a 4-16 Simmons Prairie Master on my 22Mag. and its ok as well. All of the Simmons scopes I have do have the target turrets. The click movement feels cheap as compared to the Leupy's, but they work. Good luck with your purchase! Sam
