are these good scopes? clear? I think the one I want to buy is a discontinued model but I just wanna know if anybody has had experience with one? Price new if anybody knows?

I had a 3.5X10 years ago and it was a descent scope for the money, I bought mine over the counter and paid to much for it, depending on what it was going on I would buy another.

My father built me a semi-custom Remy Mod 700 in .280 a long time ago and wanted to give it to me for my 16th B-Day. He had the gun completed in time, but ran out of money before putting glass on it. He put the WT Classic 2-10x44 on there just to get it out to me for my birthday. He told me that down the road I should put a new piece of glass on there that is comperable to how nice the rifle is. Well, that was almost 16 years ago and that scope is still on there, and I have yet to "need" a new scope for it. I may bite the bullet this year and put a different one on it, but I have had absolutly no issues with the scope in the 15+ years I have had it. I have taken numerous deer with it and at least three of them have been over 300 yards. I think for the price point it is an excellent choice and very durable.

Another thing that I do really like about it that I wish other manufacturers would do it the 44mm ob. Just a bit more than the 40, but don't need the high rings to mount a 50mm ob on it.

Here she is, Took my father 5 years to save up all the money he put into it and I may never use another rifle to take a deer with just because of the sentimental value.

I have the 3.5x10 on my AR and it is a great scope, I have had it for years and have shot it on a 300 mag and now the AR without difficulty. Good inexpensive scope.
