slings for ar

most will say 2 point. magpul and some others convert from single to two point. i like the idea, more versatility. i currently have just a strap. it is not very good. and its not qd. gets in the way on stand.

youll probably get several opinions, i use a single point sling. the gun is always on your side with a quick draw.

not bad for a cheap single sling

anyone try these? China style! Magpul copied slings. they have black, green and tan

one of these slings in true Magpul brand is $47!

I will have to say a 2 point for hunting. I have a single point sling and attachment on one AR, and it wasn`t any good for me.
Many here suggest something called the `claw`(?) I have not used one yet but a friend likes his. Definately look for one thats wider like 2". I have a 1" job on my .243 and aside from being narrow, it might as well be greased because it dont stay put on my shoulder.

i just bit the bullet, stand by for results. why do I check this site. WHY WHY WHY

lets see if this 20 dollar sling is worth it

Oh I hope and pray my future wife doesn't like jewelry, billionaire and never feels that we have enough guns in the house....

I'm pretty much settled in on a Claw using an "African carry" I guess it is (muzzle down, soft part of sling attached to butt stock). It doesn't move, I can see the muzzle all the time, my scope is protected by my side, and I can use it easily with a backpack on.

My hunting partner uses a one point QD deal that he says he likes, but I don't have a reason to change as I'm used to my system.

If you haven't ordered from them before then don't get in a hurry on getting it. The lights I order from them take a good month before I receive them...

A claw sling can be had for $20. I have yet to use it in the field but I got two in last week. They feel great even on my heavy lr-243

I like my Safari sling. It can be used as a standard sling, or transitioned into a "single point" style of side, or front carry, but can be quickly swung up into shooting position, and they do not break the bank.

The Claw is also nice for the money.

Single point like the Midway model. First season with it and I'm gonna use it on my deer shotgun too. Hangs right there where you need it when you're messing with gates and carrying other stuff. Strap is narrow and could be uncomfortable with a heavy weapon in warmer weather.
