Small electronic powder scales

Anyone use a certain brand?? I had an off brand powder dispenser that worked great up till a couple days ago.. I think someone might of pushed down on the pan and ruined the cell.. It scrolls numbers and will not stop and says OL.. Over load or error comes up..

For the price they want now for the same one I have.,I can buy a RCBS 300$ with shipping from nachez and get a 75$ rebate.. The scale I had was an RCBS knockoff..

But does anyone use just a small digital scale and what style and brand.. And how does it work for weighing charges.. Thanks all.. Dan

I have a lyman micro touch that plugs in to the wall. 2 old timers at the shop said they like and recommend them. reviews are 98% good too. haven't used it yet.

stay away from the $30 hornady 100 scale. its junk.

Get a Chargemaster and never look back. I've run one for several years, my Uniflow collects dust except for pistol plinking ammo.

I've been using a rcbs range master 750 scale and it has worked well. I just ordered a chargemaster myself and will be setting it up soon to try out

+1 on the rangemaster, I have been using it and it seems very accurate with no variance. I can get sub .3's in my calling rifle pretty regualar with it and I can't see a need for anything better than that at this point

i have a chargemaster, and its probably been the single best upgrade i've done to my reloading bench since i started reloading - followed very closely by my LNL AP.

the current sales with the rebate put them as cheap as i think i've seen them since i started looking at them ~5 years ago. at $279 at natchezss, i'd happily buy $11 worth of stuff to get me to the $75 rebate point to add one to my bench if i didnt already have one. IIRC mine (after rebate) came out to $269 and i couldn't have been happier, especially after trying the competitors RED version of this dispenser first.

couple quick recommendations - get a metering insert - theres a guy on snipershide that makes them. or at least do the mcdonalds straw mod. this will cut the occasional overdrop of extruded stick powder by at least 50%. with varget and H4895 i get an average about 2-3% overdrops with the straw mod. With flake/ball type powders that overdrop is basically non existant if i dont bump the bench while its trickling anyway

also spend a few mins on the phone with RCBS tech support and have them help you reprogram the unit from its default settings. This will lend to speeding up the dispensing time by at least 10%, maybe a bit more.

calibrate it every use & use the draft shield and i think you'll be very happy with the result. I know i am!

I was using the gem pro 250 with good luck until it started getting flakey. Bottom line I don't trust digital went with a scott parker tuned beam scale and happy as can be. My 2 cents

I have a Redding 505 beam scale, RCBS Chargemaster dispenser/scale combo, and Dillon Precision D-Terminator Electronic scale. Not sure I'm lucky or if this is the norm but they all measure they exact same. Only time my electronic scales don't agree with one another exactly is when they've been turned off for awhile but once they warm up, they match each other on weights, exactly.

Another fan here of the RCBS Chargemaster Combo. It has really helped my workflow at the reloading bench. Would not go back to a beam scale unless I lost all power and had no other choice.

I'm late to the party but I like my chargemaster. I used the rcbs 750 with good results until I dropped it. I decided to upgrade after that.

I don't need the memory that the chargemaster has.. I write my info down on tablet.. I also like the touch screen... It also seems a bit smaller..
