Small rifle scopes? Size and magnification.

I want to get a different scope for my CZ 527 American. It has to have a small eyepiece for bolt clearance. I.E. leupold, nikon(prostaff) size.

I want a scope with low power. 2-7x or 1.5-6x would be just about right.

I want the scope to be somewhat small in size to match the size of the rifles action. The crossbow scopes on the market would be the perfect size. Only they are paralax set at 50 yards and the reticles are usually full of "junk".

SKS models may be about what I'm looking for. But they have no room on the tube to get both rings to fit. Something very similar to this. Only about a inch longer for ring spacing. http://swfa.com/Barska-3-9x42-Contour-Rifle-Scope-P5757.aspx

Largest Objective lens possible. I want good light transmission for night-time coyote calling. One inch tube prefered so I can use my existing rings.

And cost is an object.

Any suggestions? Pics of your 527 with your current optics?

Your help is appreciated,
Adam

I'm really not sure you will get good light transmission through a Barska just because of a large objective, or any cheaper scope. Coatings and lense quality are far more important in light transmission.

Maybe something with a heavy duplex and better quality glass than the Barska if it's going to be for low light hunting?. Say a 1.25-4.5 or so in a step up in lense quality, maybe fully multi coated lenses.

Your probably better off posting a price range your looking to spend.

Hey Huntnfish have you ever found out what kind of fish that is? I caught a couple myself at victory and could never find out what they were. Also caught one that looked like a sturgeon. All my pics were erased by customs as I came home in a coma. Just curious, and thankyou for your service brother. Oh and by the way I think you will be happy with the weaver.
