I've been doing alot of gun changing this year, going from home defense to slug on one of my 870s, still looking to trade on 870 for a Benelli Nova, and I'm thinkin of giving up my Springfield XD-40 for the afor mentioned S&W. I love that XD and its awesome but in the long run I'll never trust its reliability or accuracy as I will for a nice wheelgun. Wondering any thoughts on it.

The one thing I don't like about the 620 is the barrel arrangement. The actual barrel is a thin steel rifled tube inside an alloy shroud arrangement. S&W claims less weight and increased accuracy. Maybe, but it also seems less expensive to manufacture and perhaps not as reliable and durable as a solid one piece barrel.

Yes I did see that I know they claimed it to be better in the longrun though if you ever had to replace the barrel that it might be slightly lest costly. I would hope I wouldnt have to ever worry about such as that happening though.

I just wish i could get an 8-gun or something. To be honest with you the mag cap of the auto is the *only* reason I own an automatic. If it wasnt for that you couldnt pry a wheelgun away from me. I like the size and feel of that model and especially the 7-shot wheel.
