Hey Dusty, my experience is with just 2 or 3 snakes at a time. I need to gradually work my way up to 250 all at once, lol. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I once got invited to go into the bullring in Mexico and try my luck. Not ever having done that before either, I had to decline. I love being on the edge, but I do know my limits. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

It's too bad about the 'Gordo round-up. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I didn't think they'd cave in to the anti's. Must be that Santa Fe liberalism spreading south.

I need to get to some of the TX shows. They have some really impressive diamondbacks down there. Email me a list of the shows you plan to be at, and I'll try to make a few. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Now those are some nice crotalus! Five foot?

That's the same size bucket I use, except mine's orange with "Danger" written on the side. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I also keep a few kingsized pillow cases in the bucket, just in case I get lucky.

Here's one for ya NASA.... San Patricio Texas.. Place has a stadium, bleachers and everything lol..

I guess they take this thing serious huh?????

I haven't looked at the list .. Is Freer, Texas on it?..

It used to be the World's Largest Roundup in June of each year.

That many diamondbacks in one place gives me the creeps...

I'd love to have a western diamondback mounted in my living room to go along with the different color phases of timber rattlers. If I ever get to Texas again, that's what I'm gonna have to do. I love those black and white tails.

I guess I'm lucky I get the privlige to catch thoes ugly SOBs almost every day at work during the summer and get paid for it! And I thought that yellow thing I ware on my head was for fighting fires.

Gimmeabeer,
We all would like to see pictures of your mounted Timber Rattlers if you can post some. Thanks peterjc /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

I don't have them fully mounted, I have them on boards. Sorry for the confusion. The black one that I have is 54 inches and the yellow is 37 inches. I'll have to take a pic of the boards and post them.

No Copperheads in Arizona buddy, but they do have a nasty little dude called a Coral snake.
I'm with you....snakes do get a bad rap, but I well kill a Mojave green in a hot sec if I see one. To me, that's one of the few snakes we don't really need on this planet. Just my opinion.

NASA - no round ups for me. My experience is that ...without fail if I went to find them...I would. Why tempt fate. In about a month and a half they will be pretty damn easy to find, thats the problem.

This is as close as I would get to "rounding them up".

Steve, just let me know. I do snake removal/relocation for free. Well, pretty much for free, lol. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

You guys are nuts!! You must know what you are doing and my hat is off to you. I found this guy last Sept. (it actually found me) while calling coyotes. Can anyone tell me what kind this is? It's from central Calif. western foothills.

Pacific rattler. Specifically, Northern Pacific Rattlesnake - Crotalus oreganus oreganus.

Depending on location, some Pacific rattlers have a distinctive green hue to them. Do not confuse these with the Mojave Green rattler, their much more deadly cousins. You can tell the two apart by their marking patterns. But to make it easy, the Northern Pacific Rattler is the only venomous snake in the San Joaquin Valley.
