Snow camo

What do you guys like to use for snow camo? I am looking for a cheap cover suit in snow camo. You know, something thats light weight and slips over you regular camo suit. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Try Lowe's or a building supply and find some painter's coveralls made of Tyvec. A black permanent marker will add some break-up, and they are cheap and lightweight.

I use military surplus whites. I used to be able to get a set for about $7 but my supply store is closing. They only have pants left for 1.99 so I bought a life supply of them.

J.C. Penney Co. used to handle uninsulated white coveralls that work really well over however many more clothes you want to wear underneath. They had two breast pockets, plier pocket, slash front pockets with openings on the side to access inner pants pockets, two rear pockets, and a hammer loop. Here's a photo of two coyote callers in their J.C. Penney painter's coveralls.

My wife purchased a pair of Cabela's Snow Shadow insulated coveralls for me last winter. They blend in real good with the snow and are super warm (maybe too warm)! My big complaint about these coveralls was that they had no front snap closure pockets, so I had the wife sew on two pockets. I am satisfied now. Here's a photo of the Snow Shadow camo coveralls.

I also have the surplus airforce ski patrol white outfits. They consist of a light-weight parka type top with a hood, and pants. They are really inexpensive and fill the bill. The top is really large on mine and it is easy to get caught up on the barbs in barbwire fence when you try to cross them. Well worth the investment if you can still find them. I always carry a couple of sets of them in my vehicle in case a farmer/rancher wants to tag along and see what this coyote calling is all about.

I found a set (pants & jacket) of Nat Gear snow camo for about $40 on sale. They are big enough to wear over insulated bibs, are lightweight but tough & work great for me. Don't know where you are, look at Sportsman's Warehouse.

Well, I just purchased a slue of Natgear stuff today. I have always said that they had the best snow cvr up suit. even though I haven't used it.
I did use some material I bought from wal-mart. I made it kinda like a poncho with a mask. It was a pain.

God Bless,

Ever heard of Ty-Vek suits?

Painters use them, environmental construction uses them. They are all white paper thin overall's with a hood made of a fiber/cloth material.

They are pure white with a zipper in the front and cost about $8.00 each. Buy them over size to wear your warm clothes underneath. If you get them loose enough they should last you a long time, say 3-6 trips. If not you'll blow out the crotch.

For extra camo you could have someone paint dots or lines on you to match the local area.

Look for them in paint shops, Home Depot, safety supply, and medical supply shops.

We have a Army Navy Surplus store up here that I go to. They have winter cammo from deffrent armys around the world.I got xxlarge to fit over my winter gear and they seam to work good for me. Ty-vic will rip if you can`t get it over your winter gear and be to noisy in the cold weather.

Snow camo would be a big help in open country calling where there are no bushes, trees or rocks to sit up against. Here in my neck of the woods I find snow camo un-needed. Look at at the above photos and notice that the snow does not stick to sides of the trees, rocks or bushes. Regular fall or winter camo in most any pattern would work just fine in that situation.

I use a white lab coat that I got from the uniform co that delivers here at the plant, you can pick them up at the flea markets here for a couple bucks. I painted some black camo parterns on it and it works great! Just wear camo paints. The combo works well.

i,ve seen alot a different snow camo outfits, but bar none the best i think thats out there is called sticks n limbs.you talk about blending into a snow covered enviroment, this camo will sure fit the bill.bad thing is,really pricy!!!!!!!
