Snow Camo

What is the best and cheapest snow camo options out there on the market right now? I am looking more for a wrap of some sort or something like that. I know that I can get it dipped but that cost 200-300 so I am looking for something cheaper then that.

Thank you all,

Kyle

Co Flex, better known as Vet Wrap. About $3.00 a roll and works fantastic.

Several sellers on ebay or most farm suppy stores carry it...You will more than likely just be able to get "white".

White vet wrap works good.

McNett's CamoForm wrap is similar to vet wrap and comes in snow camo. It is about $15 a roll. That's what I use on my rifles and I really like it.

I would look into sending it to Randy Hoff in Wisconsin. His website is www.rahoffer.com. He has a fast turn around time and does great work. Good part is, he's only $135! Did a buddies and mine. Send my ar on a Monday was back at my door on that same Friday. Get the kings snow shadow, it's sweet! Good luck

Sounds sweet. Got any pics?

CoFlex/Vetwrap is my favorite. They've got a new one that's white with a black zebra stripe pattern that's out standing. Beats paint because A- it's $3.79 (or less)for a whole gun worth with 1/3 roll left over, plus it's reusable. B- When the snow melts... just unwrap it. C- The wrap quiets any accidental clinking of metal-on-metal/plastic/etc. D- It provides fantastic gripping surface that's good down to at least 4degrees (or lower, I just haven't had the chance to try it colder than that) We've been using it for years on bolt guns, ARs, shooting sticks, etc, without a complaint.

Because of this thread I did two things this week:

1. - I ordered 10 rolls of the White/Zebra Co Flex off of ebay. Been using White Vet Wrap forever on my rifles, but will say the Zebra is really neat stuff. Wrapped my Dtech .204 in it and it looks fantastic. (mutthunter, my vet wrap works at minus 20!)

2. - Sent my R15 .204 to Randy Hoffer at RA Hydrographics to get it dipped in Predator Winter White Snow Camo.

One short call to Randy and I printed out his order form, boxed the gun up and sent it to him...simple as that. He is still advertising one week turnaround. Debated getting Kings Snow because it is one of my favorite patterns but everything else I have is Predator Winter White, so I thought my rifle might as well be too! Can't wait to get it back.

I just dropped off a stock for a camo job, local guy but seems to do a process similar to the Hoffer site linked to above. My gun was purchased with a broken stock. I had always planned to have it dipped once I fixed it. I'm not doing the whole gun, just the stock.

Mine is a 243 & I wanted a 'year round' camo so I went with a darker green pattern. It may be a month before I get it back.

Jamie, it is holding up great. That grip is the ergo rubberized one. The film stuck to it like crazy. I believe he said he had to heat treat it somehow. I'm hard on stuff and have thrown it in and out truck all fall and winter. The con of doing the grip is it lost it's good tactile feel when dipped. That's my only compliant. I figured if I didn't like it, for $25 I'd throw a new black one back on. So far it really doesn't bother me. I'm very happy with it and glad I had it done.

If you have anything else you would like to add please do. There's a place about an hour from me that does the same kind of printing and I plan to have it done. More than what you were charged (195 for an ar) but I figured it would be worth it because I can drop it off, instead of shipping.

I'm going with this cause I think it will blend ok in most seasons here. http://www.tarjac.com/PatternImages/Proveil%20Reaper%20Woods%20492.html

That Sounds like a fair price as well, and I agree you might have that much in shipping. I like that pattern, should be sweet! Post a picture when you get it finished.
