Is it not the main reason to own and carry for protection? Moose are huge animals and I would of had my gun ready the first he started to approach me. It would not of made it to my sled. I would of done as he did after the shooting,got away far enough with who ever was in tow and cautiously went back and evaluate if it need another to the head. We have pistols and rifles to protect us and many are taught to be as big as possible and make a lot of noise. I have seen a few videos where that did not work out to well. Remember what you have always been told. ANIMALS ARE UNPREDICTABLE.
