Snowshoes for huning coyotes?

you bet! and a snowmobile.

I look forward to using them. When the snow sets up to where they can be used it makes getting around easy.

I bought my first pair last year and now use them often. We have had 30" of snow so far this year, so I use them to walk across fields to get to my calling areas, then take them off to approach my stand. They are a little awkward, but you will get used to them.

They are a little awkward but easier walking then post holeing in deep snow.
Prefer wood ones over aluminum/magnesium for noise reasons.
I think wood shoes with tails track better and prefer 10X56 Alaskans while my brother preferes Mich/Hurons.
If useing in thicker brush many prefere the smaller GreenMtn/Modified bearpaw.
I use mainly in relatively open areas and just walk in a small circle to get turned around,If I am wearing shoes I dont want to be sinking so choose the lift of the larger shoes that are a little more cumbersome to use in tighter areas.
 
More ramblings and opinions.
I think most of the smaller newer space age shoes are more designed for yuppies trekking up and down groomed trails.

When you get to looking for bindings gdluck, Each will be a trade off depending on the shoe and type terrain its being utilized.
There are rubber innertube type binding that are somewhat convenient but dont offer the control.
There are H bindings, A bindings, Bindings for the new techy stuff.
I have tried about half of them and still looking for something else, I remove my shoes when getting to the stand so want something easy on and off not noisy doesnt freeze up etc etc.
They all work pretty well/easy when your sitting in your living room, Others not so well when your standing in 2-3ft of snow with layers of clothes looking like the marshmallow man.
 
good point 3807. i would NOT suggest ANYONE getting the new fangled kind unless your on sure hard-pack. they simply do not give enough floatation in deep fluff. specially in crp-tall grass stuff. they do look kewl though

I like the white aluminum Military ones that are made in canada, they are 12X48. They seem quieter usually than with bare boots.
I also don't wait for snow to get deep, I wear them if it is ankle deep. If you compare with snowshoes to not wearing them in ankle deep snow, you waste a lot of energy and ect when your boots slip and roll on uneven dirt under the snow. If you have snowshoes on, you don't get that more difficult walking, it is much easier.
