Was up north at the farm this weekend, mom got some tickets for us to see Ron White on Friday night so had a good time enjoying that show
--------
Saturday I helped a friend of the family get started on his actual reloading Journey, we got all of his dies set up, first batch reloads put together, and some holes put in paper.
I was really kind of disappointed that this was the best result we were able to get with a 165 SST in a 30- 06.... and he's grinning like a teenager that just got handed his first set of car keys.... super excited with the results.
Come to find out that at its best this rifle was a 4+ moa gun with multiple factory ammo testing.
So these results are actually pretty impressive once I found that out!
-------------
Sunday we pulled the trail cam cards - yes we're dinosaurs like that with non cell cams. There's just no signal for that out in our woods
Only pic of this dude. Nice shape but I think he's got some super potential if he survives for another year or two.
At least he smiled pretty for the camera
These two were warming up the fall shenanigans right in front of the cam on my food plot... maybe 50 yds in front of my stand.
Someone has something on their mind...

I did a little bit of Trail maintenance this afternoon, just making sure everybody had a good clean path into their deer blinds, just some clean up touch up work with the mower.
We've got scrapes starting to show up all over the property, I saw at least 15 to 18 of them today minimum, possibly more. Again I was worried about zipping around on the lawn mower, not making a tick mark on the paper every time I saw one - but there were a lot of them. All along the corn & lots of them along the paths I brush-hogged thru the woods earlier this summer.
I also set up a artificial licking branch and my redipped my rope. Both of these are in the area where those two little fellas were squaring off. Hopefully ill have a nice big scrape under one - or both- in a few days.
All in all very productive weekend, and I'm super excited about those pics!
Neighbor we landlock got a 10pt a couple days ago, but nothing we have pictures of, and not the bruiser my bro saw on opening weekend of bow - we still dont have any pics of him either!
