and i think it's this skunk i shot today, a badger and it were going at when i drove by in my truck. i didn't see them but sure did smell them. they were out about 200 yards when i spotted them. i took the badger first as have a tendancy to disapear quickly. i had the 20 tactical and the 17/30 carbine with me. i grabbed the 20 tactical which was loaded with 33 gr v-maxes at 4000 fps. it only took one shot to dump him in his tracks.
the skunk didn't pay all the noise any nevermind. i grabbed the 17/30 carbine and let him have it with a 20 gr v-max at 3850 fps. the skunk didn't discharge like one would think due to the fact that he had already done so. he humped up and fell over in a heap.
i managed to catch a few prarie dogs out sunning themselves and put the 17/30 carbine to good use. the range was from 75-150 yds. (WARNING BLOOD AND GUYS)
