For many years I wondered how could an empire as great as the Roman Empire have become so decadent. I no longer wonder, we need only look at what is happening in this once great country today. We are witnessing a complete and total breakdown of morals, a self centered hedonistic society who's only concern is how much sex and food they can partake of every day and a government that thrives on Bread and Circuses. Like the Romans our citizens are no longer willing to defend our borders and like Rome we will soon be overrun with Barbarians at the Gates.

Sorority Will Allow Transgender Women to Become Members Nation-Wide

Alpha Chi Omega is the first sorority to announce that it will allow transgender women to become members at all of its chapters nation-wide.

Fraternities and sororities have begun to accept transgender students into their chapters. For example, there were four University of Minnesota Greek groups–three fraternities and one sorority–that already allowed transgender students to become members, Minnesota Daily reports.

Alex Hansen, president of the UMN’s Alpha Chi Omega chapter, received the announcement on Feb. 17, and said the sorority is excited about the change.

"I know that on a national level, it was a question that was starting to come up a lot," Hansen said. "It’s not something that a lot of chapters nationally have made the choice to have."

One Alpha Chi Omega member believed that this change will help break stereotypes that people have about Greek organizations and will make her sorority more inclusive.

"It pushed Alpha Chi to prove that we are really inclusive and empowering to our women," Melissa Medved, an Alpha Chi Omega member, said. "A transgender woman is just as much of a woman as I am."

Medved wants to see all of Greek life follow Alpha Chi Omega's lead.

"I think it would be really cool for Greek life as a whole to accept the people who are identifying as one way or the other," Medved said.

A spokesperson for the Office for Fraternity and Sorority Life said the issue of allowing transgender students to join a fraternity or sorority has not been discussed as a priority. But the spokesperson assured that any enrolled student can participate in the fraternity and sorority recruitment process.

Uhmmmm... NO! She's not!! If she is, she should be able to give birth to a child, just like you Melissa. And, if the transgender is as much a woman as Melissa, that just isn't really saying much for how much of a woman Melissa is.

Yep, poor Melissa, must really shake her up to realize even Bruce Jenner is twice the man she is and still woman enough to win woman of the year. Strange times like these are gonna create some messed up young ladies.

I shudder to imagine the kind of internal drama all those bitches are going to have when all the little attention whores and drama queens unite. Good deal... they deserve each other.

It's a mental disorder.. Why they are pandering to this disorder is confusing.

No amount of pandering to someone with serious mental issues is going to fix that. They need serious help, and without getting them to that help, they are most likely going to kill themselves.

As Adults, we are not setting a good example, and we are not doing the kids any favors by acting like life isn't hard, and there are things that are going to suck. This coddle and pampering that we are doing is going to create serious issues down the road.

in the 40's and 50's we had people in their 20s and younger dealing with stopping socialism, facing war. Today they can't handle the election results and support socialism out of ignorance of what is really is.

I forwarded this article to my son (30 Y.O.) with a big "What's this about." He and his wife head the intervarsity Christian program at ASU. They were both involved in Greek Life while attending ASU a few years ago, in fact he was his Fraternity President for 3 years. He says that this is a situation causing problems for sororities and fraternities nationwide. It has ramped up to the point that some are all ready facing legal challenges. These organizations are not flush with cash, in fact there is basically no cash flow except fund raising for various philanthropic causes. They simply cannot defend themselves in a court of law, lose, and continue to exist. He said it appears the only answer will be to go coed if they wish to continue to exist. This is simply no longer the world I grew up in and I'm livid.

I personally think that it's really an effort to get rid of the whole thing in general.

Just wait until a tranny says a bunch of His(her) frat brothers raped her(him)

or the other way that a man in a sorority is doing something they shouldn't have like video of the woman and posting it up.

The greek system has been picked on as much as they can.. Now i feel that this is that next step to force them to follow the politically correct stupidity..

Its a private organization, and if they believe that you can only join if you have the DNA of a man, so be it.. That is their choice. it's not discriminatory on the part of a private association to choose who can join.

Absolutely T-Bone... If they aren't receiving government funding, and aren't a public organization, serving the general public, there really isn't anything they can do. But the threat of legal action, is unfortunately enough to ruin them financially, unless someone steps up offers their support either financially or professionally to defeat the legal challenge.
