Sounds for bobcats?

What distress sounds and or bobcat calls are working for you guys?

I have seen 2 bobcats early in the morning by accident, and I can't get them called in. I have mainly used rodent destress and bird sounds, but no luck

Same calls that work for coyotes, will work for bobcats. Take a look at the tracks in the area, and use those kind of calls. I have had them come into all the same calls. Switch up your calls as you are on stand. I start with a jackrabbit normally, cycle into a cottontail call, then into a bird like a woodpecker or redbird, then into a higher pitched cottontail such as a baby cottontail. A bigger issue is location. They like the brush and rocks, head for that. I will set up along canyons, and thickets, and call parallel to them. I put my caller out 40 yards ahead of me, and at a slight angle. This way if they try to slide in beside me or in from the rear they are done. I spend about 12 minutes on stand, if you are going just for bobcats, you might stay a little longer, but try to cover as much ground as you can to improve your odds.

Good luck,

Mo

I hunt OK a lot. You cant go wrong by hanging a feather on some fishing line and putting your call under it. Try woodpecker or starling in distress. Play them non stop but not too loud. Be near the thick brush. Good luck

wood pecker makes cats ignore everything and come straight to my call. The cat was spooked and 300 yards out when he turned around and ran tot he call.

Another came within 10 yards of me after being spoooked.

I'm sold on woodpecker sounds

Really? You need to take your house cat to the vet.

Aggressive bobcat. 30 minuets straight. You're welcome

I've called in 3 this year and my son killed one, and I killed the other 2. I was using cottontail distress on the first cat, woodpecker and flicker on the other 2 cats. I have found cats to be all different. One cat came running in after 20 seconds of turning the FoxPro on, I've had others take up to 30 minutes. I like to mix my sounds up, using several different bird calls and kitten distress.

I have a sound that is called "Bobcat Defending Food". Would that be similar to aggressive bobcat?
