I am planning a trip to south dakota this month To do aI little predator hunting. I am going to the south east corner And was wondering how the coyote population is in that area.. also is there a lot of spots too hunt..
Lots of Coyotes but 99% private land. You are going to have to knock on some doors. Just FYI most farmer don't like out of state cars or from Sioux Falls just what a farmer told me. Good Luck
my suggestion is to rent a car from outside Minnehaha county and drive around asking for permission. Most folks from outside Sioux Falls and Minnehah county HATE people from there, its a political thing. My folks live in SF and get that reaction all the time. Oh, and the county number appears on the license plates in SD, thats how they get ya.
Hey magicBadger, i went to school up in SDSU in Brookings! good times up there!
First of all thank you letting me join the group. Looking to plan a trip to South Dakota this spring to do some sob puppy hunting. Hoping to get in some predator calling hows the dog and Coyote numbers around Buffalo Gap National Grass land? Any advice would be great! I'm not dead set on South Dakota just looking for now.
