Yes i agree yotenaylor but some are driving down just for the chance to see a hog i'm coming down for both,but we can call dogs during the morning and then i would say around noon group back up and put on a control drive for hogs.I will have my orange vest on if i get drawn for the driver spot which i don't mind walking around the woods..Then if time allows go back to calling for a few evening setups plenty of ground to cover with little time.Shoot from the road thats what i'm talking about i could have plugged one before if i knew you could shoot one from the side of the gravel road.Dang it now i know this,Bring it on.I will have the 22-250 for the yote and will have my hog slayer for the drive.
I think if we get enough guys and put on a drive we can get these hogs up and moving which will give guys more chances of seeing them.

Coyote hunt and Hog round up.

Feb 22nd 6am at the coffee shop in Neslonville ST Rt 33
Will group up and depart at 6:30am to part unknow,Then at 11:30am to 12:00pm meet up for hog round up at park office Zalaski state forest ST RT 278 for lunch and regroup Depart at noon for round up.
Does this sound like a good game plan so far.
Also that way for some that can't make the morning hunt will know where to meet at for the afternoon.

I hate to pull out, but that's a two and a half hour drive for me. My buddies can no longer attend which cuts motivation for getting up at 1:00AM (not to mention getting to bed at dinner time the day before). If I can find anyone near Dayton to carpool with I could reconsider, but that's looking too far for me to come by myself.

i was just informed that i was not allowed to go... my wife told me they are having my mothers 50th bday party after church on sunday so im putting family first fellas... i guess this only happens once and she would be dissapointed if i didnt show up... i was really looking foward to doing some hunting up that way... wish u all luck.. if something happens and it falls through ill see you at the coffee shop... good luck to all.

Sorry to say but I'm going to have to pass this trip up. The wifes on call this weekend, so I'll have to stay close to home so I can watch my daughter.

I can't wait. Going to be heading up on saturday to stay in nelsonville for the night. Myself and PSdan00. Prolly have a few beers and get stuff ready for next day. Can't wait to meet all you guys!


BTW i will prolly be bringing a bunch of lanyards that i have been making if ya guys would like some.

Just read this thread. I'm in Parkersburg, WV which is not to far from Nelsonville. I might be interested in joining you guys. I have been waiting til the first of March to purchase my OH out of state hunting license. I understand that it runs from March to March and that you can't get it pro rated just for a few days in Feb.?? Do any of you guys know how that works?? Also can you tell me how much the OH out of state license costs. I am only interested in coyote hunting. I would want to be legal!!

Jim, check out this link and click on the non residents license form.

looks like a non-resident license is $125 and you have to complete the form and mail it in. im not sure if there is an easier way around it or not.

Thanks for the links. I did not find anything about the dates the non-resident hunting license is good for. Is it a year from the date of purchase or from March to March??
Since I already intend to purchase a non-resident license I need to know if I purchase it now will it be good for a year or just til March 1?? I don't want to have to spend the $125.00 now then have to do it again after March 1???

Jim, if it helps you out any, my 08 license will expire here on Feb 28 and as far as i know, if you bought one right now, it would only be good until then. I could definitely be wrong though. I can try to find out tomorrow for sure.
