Those are really neat Dusty. I just hope the roads aren't ice in the morning. its 25 deg here and we had about a hour of rain
 
I wish i could sleep.but im way too excited.me and my boy spent the biggest part of the day getting all of our gear ready....hopefully this will be the first of many hunts .nite all see ya bright and early.
 
Welp it 11:30 pm heading out at 4am see you all in the morning.I will have plenty of batteries for the camera !!!!!!!

cant wait to hear some updates... we got blanketed with snow last night at my house and im about an hour south of zalaski.... should of made for some fun hunting today if they got it as well...

Thanks to all who helped organize the Nelsonville/Zaleskie hunt. It was great meeting some other dedicated coyote hunters. I really enjoyed hunting with cariboudreamer and Mike2. Here are some of the photos I took . . .

Thanks to caribou and Mike2 for sahring their hunt with alscalls and I. They seem like great guys and I would share a stand with them anytime!!

Unfortunately the only coyotes we saw were mousing in a field on the way out to Zaleskie. That gave us high hopes for a good day.

Here is a shot of one of my stands and gives you an idea of how nice the area was!

Even though we were unsuccesful I enjoyed meeting you guys and had a great time hunting.

Ohioyotehntr was very generous to donate some calls for a drawing. His howler was awesome, wish I could have won it??? Thanks Ohioyothntr!!

I just want to thanks everyone that made this happen today had a great time and was a pleasure to meet everyone.Even though the dogs did not want to play today i had a great time to just meet the guys from the site and just to be in the woods again!!!!!

Frogman, Al(smackem) and Mike2 it was great to get to hunt with you guys had a great time ,wonderful weather and loved the fresh snow.Frogman thanks for posting the picture great job.Hopefully some of the other groups got some field picture.I even had a camera and forgot to get a few picture but i will save the ones you posted for the photo album.

Ohioyothunter:A big thank you for the prizes today i bet the calls that Getfoxy won made the drive back to Kentucky better.Getfoxy i hope you made it alright without to many stops.

Guys i had a great time talking with you all,its good to talk to and be around others that go through the same ups and downs, as we know is predator hunting.Getfoxy....hope you get feeling better,it was a good time grouping up w/yall............caribou,thanks for setting this up,showing us around,and keepin us from getting lost.well remember ,next year we get to call it "Second Annual"............Oh Btw....the was some sort of organized hunt through zalaeski yesterday....it musta been some sort of big deal becase signs in mccarthur said WELCOME HUNTERS.So everything mighta skittish anyways.
 
I also want to thank everyone that got to make this hunt. It was great to meet everyone and make some new hunting buddys. I hope getfoxy gets to feeling better. I want some hero shots with the calls. Smokin250, I expect some from you too /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif We had a great time even though the dogs didn't want to come out and play. Besides the wind, it was a beautiful day. Next time, we will have to have a lunch back at the diner with one big table. This way we all get to talk and share stories and secrets /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

My camera went dead.....I will see later.

It was funny a whole convoy of trucks loaded with gear designed to kill coyotes.....$$$$$......sitting in the middle of the road watching two yotes play in an open field....And we did not even get a pic of it!!! HA HA!
 
Thanks guys, I really didnt feel right taking the calls because the last little bit I didnt even feel like getting out of the truck, It was all I could do to hold my eyes open on the drive home. I really appreciate the calls to. I wanna give a big thank you to who I beleive was Coyoteex's son who put my name in the drawing. I think thats who it was.

I remember my buddy had just woke me up and got my attention and told me I had won the calls but I didnt really grasp the concept, he had to tell me again when I dropped him off at his house, I was having a hard time paying attention.

Im getting ready to leave to head to the doctor as im typing this. I made it home at 3:30 yesterday evening, came strait in and slept from 3:30 all the way through until 5:00 this morning. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Maybe we can get together again when the wind is cooperating, and I can see straight /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Had a great time guys, it was nice meeting everyone. Dustin, Travis and Tanner, it was great hunting with you guys. hopefully we can do this again sometime in the near future.

Awesome time guys! Dustin thanks again for the calls. That howler will definately get used. I will for sure be sending you pictures of the potential kills. Like dan said...dustin tanner and travis, awesome hunting with you guys. Can't wait to hunt with you guys again.
