Specialized Dynamics

Yeah and then it shot so darn well that I immediately gained a newfound motivation to enter as many contests as I could and have since spent thousands of dollars in fuel and ammo to chase the dream..........

[beeep] you Predator Technology Group!

I'll say that my experience wad about as good as the others here. Quoted 4-6 weeks. Took closer to 16. Upon it arriving it had the wrong handguard on it.I will say he made that right it a timely manner. OK all is good, lets go hunting. Same crap as bobtails. I had a single shot ar. Must of been CA compliant! Anyways I resolved the problem myself. Gas block wasn't lined up with the port in the barrel. I wonder if he test fired any of these rifles he assmebled. The worst part is no matter what loads I tried it was only a so so shooter. Definitely will not see any more of my money. I don't have a p.t.g. upper or a r.p.g. upper yet but I do have a new frontier upper in 6x45 that I love. Ritch Johnson who was from there now runs Ritch's precision guns I believe. My next upper will probably be one of his.

Two weeks!!! I am JEALOUS..........It took Predator Technology Group two and a half weeks to get a Cerekoted .204 into my hands!

I bet you just went insane waiting.....

Thanks for the comments guys. We just want to do right by the PM community and produce a quality product at reasonable prices. Comments like these keep us going and help us to continually improve.

Criticism is good. You can't get better unless you know where you are lacking. That being said. There are plenty of great gun builders on this site and many up and coming. I've had dealings with several and all have been good or great except for SD. It's like pulling teeth just to get a response. Nothing upsets me more than asking to buy a product from you and not getting a response. Not responding to customers who have money ready to spend is like bleeding from an artery and not fixing it. Hope they can get customer service and quality control issues fixed. In the mean time I spend my money elsewhere

Sounds bad, but not suprised. I mean It doesn't matter how good your product is if your CS is [beeep] then, I'll go elsewhere.

Greetings

This thread is not a rant , just the facts.

On Black Friday 2013 I ordered a 20 practical from Scott and paid him a $400 deposit. Two months later he called me and told me my 204 was complete. I told him I ordered a 20 practical. He said no problem that he would build me a 20 practical and was waiting for a reamer because he was building a couple other 20 prac. I said no problem. In May 2014 I get a call from someone at SD, not Scott, telling me my gun was be built and would ship in 30-60 days. Great. Fast forward to December 2014 I send Scott an email and ask for status. He replied in a few minutes and said his wife was sick with cancer and that the gun would be done right after New Years. Today I sit empty handed and perplexed. What do I do? I can only hope my credit card company will honor the claim I plan to submit to see if I can recover my $400 deposit. Any thoughts??

That sounds like the same story I have. Mine is a 204 ordered the same time. Only problem is I sent a check instead of using my credit card. I'm probably out of luck. No replies to my emails or calls anymore.

Guess I'm the lucky one (if you want to call it that). I used a USPS MO to pay for mine.Purchased a 204 upper when he was running a special.
I heard the same song and dance that many on here heard about why my upper hasn't shipped. Finally had to threaten him(Scott) that I would contact the Postal Service to file a fraud claim.I finally had my upper a few weeks later.

Worst part is he didn't even get my order right. Mine was supposed to be a heavy barrel non fluted and threaded. What I got was a heavy barrel fluted and not threaded. Had the specs I wanted in a PM to him. Talk about screwing a customer but that seems to be the norm with this company.

My advice is talk to your CC company and file a fraud claim if you can.

To all others STAY AWAY!!!

Cedarcreek

filing a complaint with the USPS may buy you some satisfaction. Several years ago I paid for a laptop I bid on an auction site, not Ebay, and essentially lost the $1200 I mailed off to the dude. I filed a claim for mail fraud and the postal service took it very seriously. They conducted an investigation and essentially shut the guy down. None of us ever got our money back but it was worth the time and effort to know the dude is no longer ripping people off.

Good luck.

My experience was a little better. Except customer service was slim. Dominic was good to deal with though. I ordered mine October 10 and picked it up June 10. He did have everything just like I wanted. Except I ordered a few extra mags and took a month to get them. When I ordered I only found one post on another site negative about them. All in all I am happy but won't give them my business again.

Ordered a Grendel from Scott a couple years ago was quoted 12 to 16 weeks but realistically I'd have it in more like 8. After almost 6 months and lots of excuses and failed attempts to reach anyone or get answers I posted on their Facebook page about it and had an immediate response followed by more excuses. I ended up selling the upper once I got it because the whole experience soured the joy of having it. I too wish I would have known better before buying it. Looking for a 20 practical upper soon who can I buy from thats good to deal with??

I have put together quite a few uppers with mis matched parts from different makes etc. NEVER once had an issue with the guns working. how in the world is there this much problem putting together a working ar 15??

I am not discounting the statements of the people on this thread.. I am sure each had an expectation, and it appears they feel as though they were wronged..

with that said. I have been waiting to use this one..

Maybe, just Maybe

It's easier to point fingers at others typing vs. holding a wrench in your hand.

AGAIN... Not a critism of those that feel wronged here. Just saying that maybe some would be better off spending the time to do it themselves than wait and wait for service that doesn't meet that individuals standards.

If there is something I want.. I go get it. I either buy it or build it. If someone is selling something can't meet my timelines, then i make it myself. I am always shocked at how many things i have and continue to learn on youtube. I have been buying the pieces to build and AR myself.. Using the threads here, i learn about the differences in parts and pieces, research online and order from the places that offer the best value. (doesn't mean cheapest price) when i get a box full, I plan on putting it together myself.

This (imo) is the best part of predator hunting.. There are so many things to learn, and learn more and more about in depth, that i have years and years of research and learning to do ahead. Everyones comments, experieces, and thoughts help with that, and to me its a valuable tool that I appreciate from everyone as i try and be better.

Thats good...You have the the time for that others dont or dont want to and employ folks to do it for them....Thosecompanies should do what they say they are going to do....They have every right to describe their experience with said business.....Which is what the the title is about...

I guess my expectations are too high. I was told in November of 2013 that it would be done in January of 2014. It is now halfway through April 2015. I've been told 3 times that it would ship next week that was last summer. Now won't return emails or phone calls.
